SERVICE RATES FOR 2020
We charge $110 + tax for a regular piano tuning within our normal service area. Pianos that have not been tuned regularly may need a “double tuning” (or more correctly, a pitch raise and tuning) for which we charge an additional $85. For piano tuning in outlying areas, there is an additional fee for mileage/travel time.
Repairs to fix sticking keys, replacement of broken strings, adjusting pedals, etc., are not included in the tuning fee. Our on-site repairs are done at $90/hr. Typically, most repairs take less than an hour.
For pianos that cannot be tuned due to severe mechanical deficiencies, loose tuning pins, etc., there is a minimum service call charge of $75. This amount can be applied to the price of a new or reconditioned replacement piano from our retail store.
We accept calls to schedule appointments from 8 am to 5 pm on Tues -Sat. In-home service appointments are scheduled during the times of 9 am to 4 pm.
or organ or organ/organ/organ or organ
Both short and long-term storage of pianos is available using our fully-insured, climate-controlled storage facility. Our 2020 rate per day is $3. We can provide pickup and delivery services of your piano using the preferred piano movers for the Toledo Symphony. Our minimum storage time is 30 days, unless prior arrangements have been made. Storage fees are collected semi-annually in March and September or when your piano is set for delivery back to your home or facility.
Donate Your Piano
Toledo Public Schools is currently accepting donations of good, high quality grand pianos and studio pianos. A Certified Appraiser for the Lucas County Probate Court will inspect your piano and provide you with a Certificate of Appraisal of its a Fair Market Value along with a signed IRS Form 8283. After your piano is picked up by professional piano movers, Toledo Public Schools will acknowledge your donation with a written receipt. There is NO CHARGE for any documentation or the cost of moving services.
If you are no longer using your piano, why not find it a new home with a music student at Toledo Public Schools?
If you have an unwanted piano or organ, we can recycle it and remove it from your home using professional piano movers. If your piano or organ is less than 44″ tall, on a first floor, and within our normal service area, our recycling/removal fee is $200. The fee for instruments 45″ in height (or taller), for small grand pianos, and all pianos not on a first floor is $300 or more. To make arrangements for the recycling of your piano or organ, call us at 419.472.0202.
