Piano Lessons

Piano: Andreea Lee 419/720-891-0359 or 419/754-3182 

Ms. Lee started piano at age 4 in Bucharest, Romania, and she has been teaching for 12 years. She has performed a variety of solo and chamber music repertoire in recitals in her home country, Paris, Budapest, Venice, Rome, Vienna, Berlin, Nagoya and Boston. She has won many awards in piano competitions in Romania, Italy, Greece and France. Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor of Music from the National University of Music in Bucharest.

Piano: Donna Skiver 419/509-8872
Ms. Skiver teaches all ages and levels with emphasis on jazz, popular and classical styles with over 35 years of teaching experience. She has studied jazz and holds certificates from Sherwood Music School and Capital University (in Suzuki method). Previously, Ms. Skiver taught at Grinnell’s Music Store and LaSalle’s Music Department.

Piano: Rebecca Herrold 419/798-5386 

Ms. Herrold has been teaching piano for 40 years, typically 25-70 students a week. Lessons include a variety of literature and teaching aides based on the abilities of each student. Her college education from Capital University was in education in the elementary level studying piano, flute, and organ. She has been a church pianist for many years and held offices with the Toledo Piano Teachers Association for 15 years. She is a member of Ohio Music Teachers Association. Rebecca is also our Sheet Music Go-To-Girl!

Piano: Rosa Kravets 419/654-0552
Ms. Kravets teaches all ages and levels, with 25+ years of experience in the European School of Classical Piano style. She has taught in Toledo for 13 years and holds a Masters in Music from The Music Conservatory in the Ukraine.

Piano: Tammy Wooten 419/262-5017
Ms. Wooten has over 25 years experience in teaching all student levels with emphasis on classical and gospel styles. She studied music theory and composition at the University of Akron and improvisation and hymnology at Hampton University of Virginia. Ms. Wooten also specializes in preschool (pre-reading), home-school music education and ear training.

Piano: Tedra Smith 419/280-6624
Ms. Smith has been teaching piano and voice for 15 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Kentucky State University and taught choir and general music 10 years for the Toledo Public Schools and Alliance Academy. Ms. Smith focuses on classical and ‘praise’ styles of teaching at Craig’s on Wednesdays after 4:30pm.

Piano: John Cleveland 419/779-5261
John has over fifty years of professional experience playing jazz and poplar music as a soloist and as a member of varied bands. Since 1980 he has played acoustic piano and electronic keyboards with the Toledo Symphony’s Jazz Trio. He teaches beginning keyboard skills for Be Instrumental and for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra’s Community Music Lessons Program.  Mr. Cleveland instructs more advanced students in improvisation, arranging, and the use of computers in music. He has produced two documentaries on jazz musicians for WGTE Public Television, and one of his compositions for jazz big band was published by Columbia Pictures Sheet Music.

Percussion: Paul Nieft, Jr. M.A. 419/376-3765
Paul has over thirty years of experience in teaching percussion (drums, snare drum, drum set and hand drums).  He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Toledo and is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.  Paul was recognized by Disney Enterprise with their “Disney’s Teacher of the Year” award in 2000.  He has recorded hundreds of commercials, jingles and recordings aired in the U.S., Europe and Japan.  Paul is the author of many education articles published in leading musical periodicals and has written four text books in percussion education.

Voice: Jessica Bush 419/297-3849
Jessica is an experienced vocalist who began singing at an early age. She has been teaching students of all ages for over 11 years with emphasis on vocal training in many styles of music, specializing in classical, gospel and popular styles. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Toledo. She has performed with the late Claude Black and Clifford Murphy as well the Mud Hens and the Toledo Walleye. She also performed with the Toledo Opera chorus in Porgy and Bess. She currently teaches music for Toledo Public Schools.
